In June of 2015 my wife and I were married. It was a dream to own our own home, a dream that always seemed next to impossible. There are so many things that come along with buying a house, not to mention all of the obstacles that we were unaware of. It just seemed so intimidating and out of reach. One day we were out with some friends who had just moved here from Alabama. They were a young couple like us who had just married and bought a house. They told us about how easy the process was. I was quite impressed with them because their version of buying a house was contrary to the type of experiences I’ve heard from almost everyone else. We kept talking and I realized that it wasn’t just good luck that they had such a great experience. It was the team of people they had fighting for them that made the biggest purchase of their life such a great experience. My first call was to a finance guy, (Dan Schimanski) who put me in touch with Ryan VanDaele. One of my first impressions was, “This guy drives a Prius”. LOL. That might show you how hard I can be to please with my pre-judgments. I had talked with a couple of realtors in the past and they were nothing like Ryan. You may not be able to see it at first with most realtors, but the majority of them really just want to close a sale. I can’t blame them, we all have to eat, but I want better than that for myself. I want someone who is going to be the best for me. I don’t want someone who is just good, or ok, or whatever. I want the best possible realtor. I want a realtor to find the precious gem of a house that is hidden away somewhere, and then I want him to basically steal it for me by getting me the best possible price. I want a guy who knows what I should be cautious and leery of when buying a house. Ryan did such an amazing job. He was up front with us about everything and open with us about the process. He answered all of our questions and was very patient with us. One Saturday we looked at over 15 homes (it took us all day and it was in the middle of January, VERY cold) and I finally understood why he had to buy a Prius. It was because people like me had him driving all over the Quad Cities. When you divide the money he made by the hours he worked, he couldn’t have made much. I appreciate his patience so much! What it really comes down to is money. Ryan was very professional with the way he put in the offer and the way he presented it to the sellers. He made them understand our side and we came to a price that really benefited us and far exceeded our expectations. He was excellent at getting us the deal he did and I love bragging about it to people when I tell them the story of us buying our first house. It really is a pleasure writing this recommendation. Ryan is not just a great guy he is a fighter who will fight hard for you. I guarantee you will not go with a different realtor after buying with Mr. VanDaele. Thank you, Ryan, for making the dream of our first house such a fun and pleasant reality.
